Red White & Blue Card - Tiffy

I have finally finished my card for Kona Kid Krafters. Just in time too. I made this for a birthday card for my mom or my aunt. Not sure who I am going to give it to, since both their birthdays are in July. They are twin sisters. I think that's cool. I would like to have a twin sister too, but I guess it never happened.

I would have made and I love America card but I am not American so it is not a holiday for us. I guess I could have made one for Canada Day but blue wouldn't have fit.

I loved using my stamps that I got from Kona Kid Krafters. Aren't they so adorable? The happy birthday was written using some stickers that I also got from them. I love my candy.

My sister also taught us how to make these cute lily flowers today. She found how to make them on someone's blog but we didn't really follow the directions. We like making things our way, not the way they say they're supposed to be made. Instead of folding and gluing the centers like they wanted us to, we glued in fabric flowers in one, and in the other we stuck some fishing line into a bead and glued it to the bottom of the flower. Then we glued some small beads on top of the fishing line for the center of the flower. I like them. I can't wait to make more. She is also going to teach us how to make some calla lily flowers. Maybe next time I will have one on my cards.

Red White & Blue Card - Becks

I've been busy creating the card I'm entering for the challenge on Kona Kid Krafter's. I am a Canadian so I didn't make a card for Independence Day. Instead I thought I could make a birthday card since my mom's birthday is in July and so is her twin sister's birthday.

Tiffany and I were planning on giving them our Red White and Blue cards for their birthday.

The big lily flowers on the table in front of my card are flowers that my sister taught us how to make today using paper, ink and punches. I think they look cool in front of our cards. Maybe next time I'll be able to make one really small and put it on my card.

Tiff's Card

This is my Father's Day card for Kona Kid Krafters. Since its almost Father's Day, Kona Kid Krafters asked us to make a card for our dad's special day for their first challenge.

Making this card was a lot of fun because I love doing things for my dad and he is one special guy. Seriously, if it wouldn't be for my dad, I would not be spoiled, since he is the only person that does that. haha.

Becky and I had a little bit of help from my oldest sister and my mom, since they were right there beside us working on their own cards. They helped us choose the colors that looked best for our cards. Hope that's okay.

Becky's Card

My oldest sister decided to make cards this afternoon, so Tiffany and I made cards with my sister to complete the challenge on Kona Kid Krafters.

The challenge was to make a Father's Day card for our dads since Father's Day is almost here. In school we have been working on a Father's Day project, but it is not quite finished and ready to be taken home, so I can't show you a picture of it.

The punched oval on my card was made using Fiskar's Bamboozled Oval Punch. The deer stamp comes from Blue Ridge same with the 'Happy Father's Day' stamp. The charms I used on my card come from a dollar store called dollarama and it has good scrapbooking items.

Hope you like my card. I know my dad will.

Camping!!

I am Tiffany and this is my very first blog entry. I've wanted to blog for a while but haven't had any time to do this. It is almost summer and I spend a lot of my time outside. My sister, Jaci, has to help me with blogging because I haven't done this before, and she's usually busy too.

This week my school went camping for our field trip and it was the first time I ever went camping. We were at Kichi Manitou Spruce Wood Park. That is a Manitoba provincial park. Here is a picture of part of our campsite.


A lot of the tents were set up on the hill, and some on the bottom of the hill. Ours was on the bottom. I think we had the better end of the deal because those who were on top of the hill told us all about rolling a little while they were trying to sleep because it was slanted. We didn't have that problem. We almost froze though, because the night was pretty cold!!

While we were camping, we had a lot of fun activities. We were able to go to the beach there and there the kids swam while some of the supervisors played volleyball on the beach.

We also went hiking and spent a lot of time picking off wood ticks when we got back. I hate wood ticks and even though we were full of them, I still enjoyed the hike. It was mostly uphill and then downhill and it was very beautiful.

This is what the park looked like when we were standing on the lookout at the top of the hill. It was very beautiful and the ground looked soooo far away!!!

Our teacher also wanted us to take a group picture of those who went hiking. Our teacher is the guy wearing the big hat on the left.

An activity that our teacher planned was a buggy ride that tours some of the main attractions of the park. Our buggies were pulled by two BIG horses and my sister Becky and I were able to sit in the very first seat behind the horses!! That was the BEST part!

We also visited the Spirit Sands (sand dunes) and were able to climb up on a couple of sand dunes and we also played in the sand.

Then we visited an area in the park called the 'Devil's Punch Bowl' which is a valley shaped like a bowl with water at the bottom.

Some of the other things that we were able to do were playing miniature golf and go canoeing, but I didn't do any of those two. I did go horseback riding, but don't have any pictures of it.

I loved everything about the trip, except when it started raining and we had to leave a day early because our tent leaked and everything got wet!!
